Sweet Vermicelli Sheera

This delicious dessert can be served warm or chilled. It is very easy to make and makes quite a fantastic dish in its own right. Make it your go-to dish for whenever the sweet tooth craving strikes. Ingredients

  • 2 cups vermicelli
  • 2 litres milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tin condensed milk
  • 1 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 50 g cashewnuts
  • 50 g raisins
  • 4 tbsp ghee

Method

Step 1

Put a non-stick pan on low flame to heat the ghee.

Step 2

Add raisins and cashew nuts and saute till nuts are golden brown. Remove from heat, drain on absorbent paper and set aside.

Step 3

Add vermicelli to the same pan and saute till light golden. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan.

Step 5

Add the fried vermicelli, mix it well, and cook on medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 6

Add sugar and condensed milk and cook on low heat for 5 minutes while stirring.

Step 7

Remove from heat and add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts and raisins, mix well.

Step 8

Sweet Vermicelli Kheer is ready to serve!
