Ingredients
- 2 cups vermicelli
- 2 litres milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 tin condensed milk
- 1 tsp green cardamom powder
- 50 g cashewnuts
- 50 g raisins
- 4 tbsp ghee
Method
Step 1
Put a non-stick pan on low flame to heat the ghee.
Step 2
Add raisins and cashew nuts and saute till nuts are golden brown. Remove from heat, drain on absorbent paper and set aside.
Step 3
Add vermicelli to the same pan and saute till light golden. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 4
Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan.
Step 5
Add the fried vermicelli, mix it well, and cook on medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 6
Add sugar and condensed milk and cook on low heat for 5 minutes while stirring.
Step 7
Remove from heat and add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts and raisins, mix well.
Step 8
Sweet Vermicelli Kheer is ready to serve!
