The Khakra chaat is a delicacy and is ideal for your evening cravings. It is a wholesome meal in itself and satisfies all the dietary requirements of a person. The paneer, green peas provide protein and iron respectively and the fiber rich khakra coupled along makes for a tasty-healthy snack.

- khakhras (broken to 5 – 6 pieces)
- 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic (grated)
- 2 tomatoes (blanched and pureed)
- 1/4 cup paneer (low fat)
- 1/4 cup green peas (boiled)
- 1/4 cup tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 green chilli (chopped)
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
Heat the oil in a pan, add onion and garlic and saute till the onion turns translucent.
Add the pureed tomatoes and cook till the oil separates.
Add the paneer, green peas, tomato, green chilli, chilli powder and salt and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the fire and keep aside.
Place the khakhra pieces on a serving plate.
Top with the topping and garnish with the chopped coriander. Serve immediately.
