Chicken Seekh Kebab

Minced chicken marinated with the brilliant mix of fragrant spices, are threaded over a skewer & then barbequed to add the magic of smoky-roast taste. Surely this seekh kebab will make your hunger more zestful.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken, minced
  • 2 small onions
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 egg
  • 2 bread slices for breadcrumb
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 3-4 kabab chini(tailed pepper)
  • 6 cardamom
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 4 cloves
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp chana
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Remove edges of bread & grind to fine bread crumbs.

Step 2

Grind all the ingredients together, add to chicken mince, add breadcrumbs & grind in grinder once again.

Step 3

Now, add egg, green chillies, chopped coriander, corn flour. Mix well & keep aside for 30 min.

Step 4

Mold the mince around the skewers about 3 to 4 inches in length of Seekh kebab (refer image).

Step 5

Brush with a few drops of oil and keep them on a Bbq gas stove. Baste with oil or butter at regular intervals.

Step 6

Garnish with onion rings & tomato slices or salad of your choice. Tastes best with raita, naan, fried rice (lightly spiced) or simply have it with tamarind chutney.
