Happiness Can Be Everlasting When You Have Trust in You and Your Family!!
The day had finally arrived when I could hold my princess in my hands. We (My husband and me) were cherishing each and every moment we were getting to spend with ANIKA, the love of our life. We were very happy and enjoying these precious moments with our family. But the very next day was not the same for us, we were losing our happiness as we had to see our baby taking many blood tests and completely being isolated from us. It was hard to see our baby in a dark room with no clothes and put under a strong light for 3 days. As a mother, I found it very difficult to handle the pressure and was deeply depressed with the situation. Soon we found out that she was suffering from a type of jaundice,I always heard of jaundice but could never imagine my baby having it. Everyone felt relieved as there are so many solutions to get rid of jaundice and thanks to science that day was a bit relaxing for the family as she was in safe hands but not for me as my baby was still in the dark room. I wanted to take her far from all this but had no option. The next day we found out that it was breastfeeding jaundice and I was completely confused with it as I hadn’t fed her yet so how could she get affected . I was completely cursing myself for not listening to my mother’s suggestions during the pregnancy period. I thought I was responsible for all this but I tried to be stronger so that I could handle the situation. Many people asked me to stop feeding but I didn’t do it, as mother’s milk was the best thing for her and it was my best decision . The baby improved her health and after a week she was discharged for home . She is 2 years 2 months old now and the most lovable kid of the family and of course ” OUR PRINCESS “.
