- 4 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
- 2-3 tbsp minced coriander leaves
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tbsp fried moong dal
- 2-3 tbsp oil to fry the tikkis
In a large bowl, add the mashed potatoes along with rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
Divide the dough into about 8 equal portions and shape them into small discs. Place about half a teaspoon of the moong dal at the centre of the disc and cover.
Using a heart shape cookie cutter, cut out heart shaped potato patties. Use the scrap to form more patties.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis till they are golden brown on both sides.
Serve them hot with ketchup or green chutney. Enjoy!
