Taking Good Care of Yourself From the First Day of Pregnancy

When a woman finds out that she is pregnant, it is one of the happiest moments of her life. It is a wonderful feeling, but it is challenging to give birth to a healthy child. You know, your child grows from day one naturally. But the healthy growth of a baby doesn’t come naturally. It all depends on your habits during pregnancy.Taking care of yourself during pregnancy is the only way to take care of your baby. And you should start taking care of yourself from the first day of pregnancy. Eating healthy food is essential during pregnancy.

Foods That You Should Eat While Pregnant

There are some common foods you must eat on an everyday basis.

1. Fruits

Eat fruits daily. Prefer apple, pomegranate, or beetroot juice if you are anaemic and eat citrus fruits twice a week. Eating fruits can help in treating the constipation issues that usually occur during pregnancy.

2. Milk

Drink at least half a litre milk daily by mixing the protein powder in it.

3. Vegetables

Eat fresh vegetable curries than fried veggies. If you prefer, you can eat salads more often.

4. Dry Fruits

Eat dry fruits daily. You can eat 4-5 almonds, 1-2 anjeer, and 2-3 dry dates.5. Meat and Eggs Opt for meat and eggs twice a week.

5. Water

Drinking plenty of water will keep you hydrated and resolve constipation problems. If you don’t like to drink much water at a time, drink it gradually but don’t skip on it. Once a day, you can even drink flavoured water such as pudina water, lemon water, or ginger water. However, don’t drink lemon water regularly as it might lead to acidity.Some other foods you can have based on your health condition after the checkups and tests. Many women face the problem of morning sickness in the early months of pregnancy, hence they lose their appetite. But you shouldn’t stop eating. Avoid the foods that make you puckish; eat remaining foods.The above foods should be consumed as soon as you find out that you are pregnant. As the baby needs all kinds of vitamins, proteins, calcium, and iron, eat foods that contain all these minerals. Following an unhealthy diet can pose complications for your baby. So better take care of your diet plan. Focus more on what to eat and when to eat. Good luck and have a healthy baby.
