Why It’s Important to Prioritise Self-care
Hello to all you wonderful mothers. You know that raising kids and taking care of oneself simultaneously is next to impossible. As we all know how our society is where only the mother has to look after their kids. We actually do have a tendency to take all the load and try to be next to superhuman which we actually are. We don’t need to prove it. We generally ignore our health, peace of mind and our quiet time, which we shouldn’t.
My point is at the end of the day you realise that you have not taken proper meals or shared your emotions with your loved ones or end the day with missing something so important which you shouldn’t. Now the thing is, is it really going great? No, I don’t think so. Putting all your energy doing everything but no time to yourself, do you define this as motherhood? How? Where is the mother’s happiness? Is she content? No, actually it’s on stake for managing everything so well that you don’t have your own peace. The point is you cannot control or do everything. It’s always said that it’s the mother duty and responsibility to take care of the kids. To raise emotionally and physically strong kids, a mother’s self-care and self space are of utmost important, else it’s just that you are raising kids for the sake of raising them and not by your choice. It’s only us who can pamper ourselves.
So my concern here is first to look at yourself. If you are in a happy state then only you can look after them happily and not by complaining. Eat healthy pre and post-delivery, have your own time to breathe and then you will realise that when you are with kids it’s actually you are with them without any worries.
Take care of oneself first and stay young & happy.
