As first time moms, we struggle a lot in order to do our best, but this journey made me realize that there is no need to panic because only a calm and happy mother can do her best for her children. You can achieve this by focusing on your child’s proper nutritional requirements, in the form of inculcating some healthy habits from the beginning. For example, making eating fun. If possible, establish a routine to enjoy meals together as a family, but make sure not to force them, lest it cause an aversion to food. Just be patient and hang on to the routine.
There are times when children tend to be fussy. Every child goes through it – if he doesn’t want to eat, do not panic because children also understand their own appetite. Trust them on it. However, if the fussy eating continues in terms of him not eating, it could indicate to an underlying problem. In case of this, please consult your pediatrician. As long as your child is playful and active, your child is healthy. As for fussy eaters, try making different versions of the same things and observe. Children often imitate their parents, so make healthy eating your own habit first. Let’s create a happy and healthy generation. It starts from us.
How to make sure that your child gets complete nutrition? The best way is by planning things. By planning, you can ensure that your child is having everything in terms of nutrition. Plan a weekly timetable for what veggies, pulses, grains and fruits you are going to have. Try a different plan next week. This way, you can keep a check on your child’s nutrition, and your kids will have things to look forward to every week, thus resulting in less fussy eating. You also won’t have to think too much about what to cook the next day, because it has already been planned by you. It’s also a great way of staying organized and having time to spend quality time with your children. It’s okay to have junk food once in a while, but you can limit that to being occasional.
Now-a-days, it has become very important to keep a check on our kid’s diet and nutrition as the number of diseases due to unhealthy eating habits and nutritional deficiencies has increased. Thus, the method of planning is a great way to keep track of your child’s nutrition in a meticulous manner.
