Baby Duties for a New Mother
Today, I’d like to share my experience as a mother, specifically how it feels to be a working mother and a doctor, as you already have a lot of duties as an independent woman. And now that you have to give your child your undivided attention what about the rest of your life and how you’d manage if you didn’t have any?
You’re now working full-time, and are you putting out your best effort at that time? How mothers handle things and everything else often comes to mind. You lash out at your partner because, after a Caesarean, one can understand the pain and your desire to breastfeed your child to avoid any Jaundice-like issues. I have been thinking about how our mothers brought us up with so much efficiency and love. It becomes difficult for us because we are working and don’t know how to handle things without support.
We generally have an office routine where we work with a team rather than alone, and this time it’s all about you. Finally, you healed from the anguish, and your thoughts changed, and you now consider yourself a supermom.
Yes, this time, how should I take the best possible care of my baby? I’m not sure what I should say to him. Why didn’t he react to my message? Why is he not looking at me? He wakes up, takes my feed, and then goes back to sleep.
Slowly, you develop a link with your child because, at first, they are not accustomed to the shift but change over time. Then I started singing rhymes and lullabies to him, and I pretended to be a child with him. I fell in love with his giggles and constantly tried to make him laugh.
Every day, I attempt to come up with fresh ways to entertain him, and then I try to explore with him after a while. Now that he’s five months old, I enjoy parenthood even more because he’s learning a lot.
