  • Strawberries

  • White cake mix – 1 packet
  • Water – 1 ¼ cups
  • Vegetable oil – 1/3rd cup

  • Red Food colouring – 8 drops
  • Raspberry candy oil – 2 drops
  • Frosting
  • Red and Pink sprinkles


  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
  • Line the muffin tin with paper cupcake liners.
  • Take a bowl and pour the cake mix, egg whites, water, and vegetable oil.
  • Fill the cake mix in the cupcake liners till they are 1/3rd full. Set the muffin tin aside.
  • Now, add 4 drops of the red food colour to the remaining batter to get a nice pink colour. Mix raspberry oil in it.
  • Pour 1/3rd of this pink batter in a resealable plastic bag and keep aside.
  • Mix the remaining red colour in the batter in the bowl.
  • Pour this batter into another resealable bag.
  • In the muffin tin, pour the red batter in the centre of the white batter, and then pour the pink batter bag in the centre of the red batter.
  • Bake the cupcakes for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Cool for a few minutes.
  • Pour white frosting on the cupcakes.

  • Red vine liquorice – 60
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter
  • Drinking straw
  • Coloured sugar


  • Take a bowl and mix 1 cup softened butter and white sugar.
  • Add 1 egg, 1 tbsp vanilla extract, and lemon zest to it.
  • Sift in a bowl the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Then, add it to the egg and sugar mixture.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate it for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
  • Roll the dough to a quarter-inch thickness.
  • Cut the dough into heart shapes using the heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  • Place the heart shapes on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Use a drinking straw to make holes at the top centre of all heart shapes.
  • Bake for 7 to 8 minutes, till lightly brown.
  • Cool the cookies.
  • Take a bowl and add 3 cups of confectioners’ sugar and 1/3rd cup of softened butter. Add vanilla extract with 2 tbsp milk and stir together. Beat to make a smooth frosting.
  • Add in the red food colour to make the frosting pink.
  • Spread the frosting on cooled cookies along with sprinkles, nonpareils, and coloured sugar.
  • Let the frosting set.
  • Tie the ends of 2 pieces of red liquorice and thread them through the cookie hole. Tie the other ends to make a necklace.
  • Pack for school.
