#AskTheExpert can i give water to my 5 month old daughter for drinking if yes then what quantity?

A. Hi, No need of giving it as mother's milk contains more than 80% water in it. So I would suggest to continue breastfeeding till 6 month exclusively and don't forget to burp after every feed. Start giving semi solid and solid food once baby completes 6 month. Then you can give few spoons of water too.
