Puffed Rice Bird’s Nest

This snack can be whipped up in a matter of minutes. These dainty tidbits get their crunchiness from the puffed rice and the sweetness from the chocolate. It’s that simple, only two ingredients… done and done! Involve your kids while making these and we are sure the kids will have a ‘gala’ time in the kitchen.

 6 People  10 – 15 Minutes  5 – 10 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup puffed rice
  • 50 gm dark chocolate
  • 18-20 Cad bury gems

Method

Step 1

Heat a pan and dry roast the puffed rice for 2 minutes and take it off the heat.

Step 2

Chop the chocolate and put it in a medium sized microwave safe bowl. To melt the chocolate, microwave it for 1 minute.

Step 3

Add the puffed rice into the melted chocolate and stir.

Step 4

Line a 6 hole muffin tray with muffin liner. Spoon the chocolate puffed rice mixture into each of the muffin liner.

Step 5

Put the tray in refrigerator for 5 minutes. The chocolate will harden and the puffed rice bird’s nest is ready.

Step 6

Put 3-4 gems in each nest for eggs. Serve and let your kid enjoy it.
