Instructions

Follow the step by step instructions below to ace the art of making yummy pav bhaji for your little one:

  1. Wash, peel and chop the veggies and keep them aside.
  2. Now, take a pressure cooker and add all the chopped veggies with a glass of water and salt and cook for two to four whistles.
  3. Wait for the pressure to release and then mash the cooked veggies using a hand blender or roughly mash it with a spatula.
  4. In a pan add some oil or butter, then add ginger garlic paste and onion and saute.
  5. Add in the tomatoes and cook till they become mushy and leaves oil on the sides of the pan.
  6. Its time to add in turmeric, pav bhaji masala and garam masala.
  7. Give it a quick stir and swirl in the mashed veggies and cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
  8. Adjust the consistency of the masala at this stage and check for seasoning.
  9. Once done, squeeze in the lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Heat a Tawa and toast the pav buns by spreading butter on it till golden and serve with the bhaji.
