Ingredients
- 1½ cups cooked fusilli pasta
- ½ cup fresh tomato puree
- ¼ cup ready to use tomato puree
- ¼ cup tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- ¼ cup finely chopped capsicum
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dry red chilli flakes
- 1 cheese slice
- Chocolate chips and capsicum pieces for garnishing
Method
Step 1
Heat a pan and add oil, add the onions and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add capsicum and sauté it on a medium flame for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3
Now add the fresh tomato puree and salt and cook it for 5-7 minutes. Stir in between.
Step 4
When it looks a bit cooked, add the ready to use tomato purée, tomato ketchup, oregano, chilli flakes and sugar. Stir well and cook on a medium flame for 3-4 minute. The red sauce should be nice and thick by now.
Step 5
Add the cooked pasta, toss gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 more minutes. The pasta should be well coated with the sauce.
Step 6
To serve place a round cheese slice on a plate. Surround it with the prepared pasta, making it look like a lion. Use chocolate chips for the eyes; for nose and whiskers use capsicum pieces. Use the image as reference.
Step 7
Serve warm. Enjoy!
