Marriage brings two people and two families together. Post-wedding, most couples start dreaming about having a cute little baby who will strengthen their bond and bring family members even closer. But one must plan for a baby before conceiving.

Yes, if you want to have a child, you must plan in advance. In today’s world, a child needs to be physically as well as mentally strong enough to be able to overcome challenges he/she will face in their lives. If you want to be a parent, you must take certain precautions and plan ahead so that you can deliver a healthy baby.

Before you try to conceive start preparing for a new family member in your life; and start about 6 months to 1 year earlier before you plan to conceive. Follow a healthy diet, exercise regularly, surround yourselves with positive people and have positive thoughts, make sure you receive emotional support, and more. If you want to be parents, make sure you are ready. Take care of the following things:

1. Make sure you and your partner are mentally prepared for a child.

It’s very important that you prepare yourself for the new responsibility. If one of you is not willing to have a baby, then it’s better to wait and plan when you both are mentally prepared.

2. Make sure your menstrual cycles are regular.

If you don’t have regularity in your periods, you must check with your doctor. It could be because of hormonal imbalance, hence consulting a gynaecologist is a must.

3. Eat healthy foods.

This does not apply to a woman alone, both husband and wife should follow a healthy diet. A healthy diet consists of,fresh green leafy vegetables, milk, yoghurt, protein-based foods, etc. Avoid eating junk food during this time.

4. Exercise.

Exercise is very important to stay physically and mentally strong. Proper exercise boosts energy level and keeps refreshed for a longer time. Exercise also helps maintain the hormonal imbalance. Yoga and meditation can bring positivity in your thoughts and relieve stress.

5. Communicate with your partner.

Be kind and gentle to each other and talk. Maintain a healthy relationship and support each other emotionally and mentally. When you and your partners will have positive thoughts and emotional connection, you will be ready to conceive.

Follow the above tips to have a healthy and happy baby. Be strong – physically, mentally, and emotionally and everything will fall in place. Soon you will have a cute little bundle of joy in your arms!
