Ingredients
- 2 medium-sized crisp apples
For the Batter for Dipping

- 2 tbsp cornflour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup + 2 tbsp water
- ½ tsp vinegar
For the Cinnamon Coating
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- Oil for frying
Method
Step 1
Mix sugar and cinnamon and set it aside.
Step 2
Mix all the ingredients for the batter for dipping and set it aside.
Step 3
Slice the apple into about 1/3” slices. Core the center using a heart shape cookie cutter.
Step 4
In a pan, heat oil for frying. When the oil is heated, dip the sliced apple rings in the batter and deep fry them in medium heat, till they are golden brown on both sides.
Step 5
Place the fried rings on a kitchen towel so that excess oil is soaked out. Repeat the process with the rest of the rings.
Step 6
While the slices are still warm, spread the cinnamon sugar on both sides of the apple rings. Serve warm and enjoy!
