Q.
My baby is 1 month 25 days old, his belly button is not dried yet and looks like there is some extra growth. Doctor prescribed mupirocin ointment and I’m using it from last 1 week but no improvement. Is it normal or it require any treatment? I have read in internet that if we apply little salt over the belly button and cover it for 1 day then it will be cured. Is it safe to put salt on that. Please help me

shilpi BhandariMom of 4 children4 years agoA. no there definitely not you should keep onn applying oiintment as suggested to you by your doctor another thing you can do along with this is to clean it is two times in a day with the Betadine lotion put it on the two times and then gently clean it do not put Salt on it please
