mere bete ko 11 din se fever aa raha hai, usko 8 din antibiotic di jisse wo theek ho gaya tha lakin 9'th day usko fir se fever aa gaya 102degree paracetamol dene pe bhi min 100.5 degree se kam nhi hua to meftal -p di to fever down hua but 7 hours ke baad fir aa gaya. doc ko dikhaya test bhi krwaye sab normal hai. fir bhi fever kam nhi ho raha Bahut weakness feel kr raha h.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated aftrer 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewfharm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .
