Q.

I delivered my son last year in Jan, post this my periods although regular but has been inconsistent. Earlier I used to have a complete 4 days of periods and a stable cycle. However post partum, it is never consistent for 4 days. Sometimes it has only been for a day or 2. Should I be worried?

A. There will be hormonal disturbances even up to one year after your period start post giving birth and so it is advisable that you keep using contraception until at least you get six regular cycles and if you think that the bleeding is very less than always rule out a pregnancy because implantation bleeding may look like that. You can take hormonal treatment for the adjustment of bleeding
