my baby is almost 19months old.. she earlier used to say words like apple, banana, ball, appa, amma, akka etc but now she barely talks through words.. but she communicates everything via actions and gestures..
she understands everything we say and does everything we say.. she occasionally uses words like apple , or calls me amma unless we force her to say
we are nuclear family only me and my husband lives.. she calls us appa amma sometimes whenever we go outside..
I read her books and sing songs almost everyday
is this behavior normal
im worried since she is not talking yet
please advise

Yes it is very normal as a child picks up usually by the time of 2 1/2 years on the higher side on speech your child is speaking some words if you do rhymes and poems introduce flashcards Board books because they’re good to teach different things the child tries to repeat behind the speech increases and gets better so please try this and avoid giving any kind of screen time to the child
