Q.

Hi, I have a 4 month old who I am breastfeeding. Just want to check if it’s safe for me to get the COVID vaccine especially Covaxin?

A. it is totally safe to take whichever vaccine is available in your area and you can continue to give breastfeeding to the child definitely you can go for vaccination because as per recent recommendations on 19th of May Government of India has also started recommending vaccinations for lactating mothers so yes you can go for it

A. Yes Both the vaccinations have had a proper clinical trials if you want to go for any out of the two you can more certainly go ahead with that and after that you can continue breastfeeding as well that would also not be an issue and if you have minor symptoms like fever and all then you can have regular medication for that
