Q.
Hello ! My baby have a heavy cough at night it increase more.i saw doctor he gave cough syrup and Astama syrup also.from last 3 days I continue this medicine but its doesn’t work I think .my baby stop eating drinking foods and water. his weight also decreased.i m too much tens.my maa tell me to give ginger water and turmeric tea (warm)..so can I give warm ginger water and warm turmeric water to 1 years old baby ????? Please suggest me what can i do???

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy1 Year agoA. yes the home remedies mentioned can be given whenever you are taking any medicine which has been given by your doctor you have to wait and watch for three days and follow the instructions given by the doctor and if there is no improvement after three days then take a follow up. so kindly take a follow up with your doctor who will tell you whether any change in medicine or any other investigation is needed or not .

Yes you can give otherwise take little amount of water boil some ginger and turmeric into that in a pinch of black pepper once it comes to a nice boil add some milk into that and that’s what you can give to the child if your child has milk this is going to help also you can give some water with pinch of turmeric and black pepper into it like two teaspoons of water with warm water that is also going to help
