#asktheexperts my daughter was bo n on 13th Jan 2025 with 2.9kg on birth now after 10 days the weight is reduced to 2.55kg.for the past 3 days We could observe good development in breastfeeding she urinates 5 to 7 times and poops thrice a day. we are worried about the weight loss is it no mal o what should we do to increase to healthy weight

A. Due to jaundice when the child has not take proper feeding they can lose a little bit of weight initially about 500 g is considered normal but after that your child is gaining well the child is taking all the feeds properly then there is no problem
