Your Baby this Week
You’ve heard the expression “a bouncing baby boy”? If you support your baby upright on your thighs, you are likely to see some bouncing. Bouncing is a great exercise for those little legs and will help your child stand, crawl, and eventually walk. This exciting new development is a reminder that it’s a good idea to start childproofing your home now, in preparation for scooting, and crawling just ahead. Teach your baby to fall asleep on her own. One of the best tools is a bedtime ritual that calms and soothes your baby to the point where he is ready to lay down and go to sleep by herself. Make reading books or singing lullabies a part of this ritual, as it gives you the perfect opportunity to bond with your baby.
