1. Introduce New Solid Foods

This is the right time to introduce new foods and soft solids to your little one. Include rice cereals, finely chopped fruits and vegetables, whole milk yogurt, soft cheeses, pasta, soft beans and legumes in your baby’s diet.

2. Sample Meal Plan

Now you can offer breakfast and two major meals to your baby. Include a quarter to half cup of oatmeal cereals, two servings of small pieces of banana, a quarter to half cup of rice cereals, two servings of soft avocado, two servings of soft potato wedges, two servings of easy-to-eat fruit slices, and two servings of finely chopped veggies. All this with the right amount of milk or formula milk as per the schedule below.

7 a.m.

Baby wakes up and is nursed by his mother, after which he plays for some time.

9 a.m.

Baby bathes and eats his breakfast of yogurt, cereals, and chopped pieces of fruit. Baby goes out to have a round with a family member for a change of scene.

Baby crawls around and plays.

Baby has a nap for about two hours.

5 p.m.

Baby has seven to eight ounce of formula milk.

Between 6.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Baby has his dinner.

Baby plays with his father or goes out for some time with mom and dad.
