Why Sulk If You Are a Stay-at-Home Mum?

I come across this discussion very frequently, motherhood snatches the career away. A new mum already juggling between myriads of tasks sulks even more when somebody mentions that career has taken a backseat post her bundle of joy’s arrival. Hey did you just say bundle of joy and did you really mean it, I mean literally?

Where is the joy folks? The country is busy arguing that stay at home mum’s life is nothing but mundane so where is the joy of motherhood gone.

Why there is a hullabaloo over career post pregnancy? I might sound regressive to some but let me put this clearly that I never aspired to deliver a baby ever since I was admitted to school.

Nobody does that. Every woman aspires to carve a niche for her but raising a baby and taking a sabbatical from work just to care and nurture your little one doesn’t make you less worthy professionally.

It takes a whole lot effort in raising a child and making him a worthy human. Please don’t belittle this mammoth, arduous task by comparing baby with career.

Respect the women who give their all in caring for a child unconditionally.
Let them cajole and cuddle their munchkins, raise them up to a certain age and then let them brethe easy as they step out and put their best foot forward as professionals.

They are talented and competent enough. Even after all those years they spent cooking and feeding their kids let me tell you their spark has not faded. They will emerge winners with flying colors very shortly. Till then please channelize your energy and babble of tongue’s towards more important issues that are wailing hard for attention. Let serenity prevail for the ever sacrificing mum and her baby as they make their way in their very precious journey.
