The Importance of Vitamin D for Our Body

Vitamins are very essential nutrients for our body. They help strengthen our bones and build strong immunity. In today’s post, I want to talk and emphasise one of the most important vitamins needed by the body, which is Vitamin D
I will share my experience as I had a severe Vitamin D deficiency ga while ago and got to know about this at a later stage when the pain in my body and joints increased to an unbearable level. I was left with no choice but to visit the doctor and I found that Vitamin D was insufficient in my body, after which I was put on medication. But do you know no matter how many medicines and supplements you take, the primary source of Vitamin D is exposure to sunlight?
Nowadays not only are adults victims of Vitamin D deficiency but kids, including infants, also suffer from it. If your vitamin D level is not in the normal range then your body will have trouble absorbing calcium, which is, again, important for your bones. This means that all the vitamins and minerals our body takes are dependent on each other. In today’s era where a majority of the people spend most of their time being indoors, either because of their work or any other reason, they are slowly inviting problems for themselves.
It can be hard to stand in the sweltering heat during summers. However, since winters have already started, this is the perfect time to sunbathe for just half an hour daily, anywhere between 10 a.m -3 p.m. This will work wonders for you. Go for a general routine checkup and get your vitals checked. Eat the right food that will help increase the level of Vitamin D in your body.
It’s not so late to take care of your health. After all, Health is Wealth!
