Are You a Super Mom?
You must have seen this one the television – a woman with exceptional powers out there to save the world. She can fly, and always has a mask to hide her identity. Cut two; she is seen doing her normal household chores with love and dedication. Who is that, a Super Woman or a Wonder Woman? I would say she is a Super Mom!
The lockdown is proving how we mothers can handle several tasks. We can stretch all our limits and go beyond to save our kids and family the worst of situations. The amount of work pressure mothers have during the lockdown is unimaginable. I bet no superhero can ever handle it. She is the only one getting up early to do all the cleaning, cooking delicious, getting the kids ready for online classes, etc.
Another important thing that a mother handles are the WhatsApp messages. One for grocery, one for veggies, school messages, milk, eggs, and so on. The number of groups I have joined during the lockdown is not a joke. Yes, I make sure my home is a mini-store where all the things are available all the time. Seriously, the number of packets of instant noodles I had saved was unbelievable. It’s out of stock in the pantry now.
Our work never ends be it lunch, evening snacks, dinner and the non-stop munching; we have to be ready to cook all the time. A mom is the only person who is working the most during this difficult period. Sometimes her body also gives up and asks her to rest, but her mind keeps working 24×7, and as I said, she is a super mom who won’t stop.
I don’t have wings to fly, but I know how to stretch all my limits to protect my family and help my friends in any way possible (virtually nowadays), and sometimes, also do things that make me happy.
Hats off to all the super moms out there who are proving we can do anything in any situation.
