Baked Garlic Chicken

Garlic and chicken are everybody’s favourites. Combine them together in this easy recipe for a fun and healthy toddler meal. Introducing chicken to toddlers need not be a daunting task anymore as this is a very mild recipe and can also be enjoyed by everyone in the family. If your older child or husband prefer more spice, simply sprinkle some pepper before serving it to them.
Kids as young as 1 and half years old ca be fed this recipe. Make sure you pick the bones clean off the chicken and shred it well before you give to your toddler.

Ingredients

  • 2 butter sticks.
  • 3 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 small onion ground to a fine paste.
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 chicken thighs with skin.

Method

Step 1

Pre-heat the oven to 200 C. Grease a baking pan.

In another microwave safe bowl, melt the butter with garlic paste, onion paste, pepper and salt.

Drop the chicken thighs in this mixture and let it sit for 10 -15 mins.

Next remove the chicken thighs and line them on the baking tray.

Roast the chicken for about 30 to 40 mins.

Check if the chicken is cooked from all sides. A well baked chicken doesn’t have a pinkish colour near the bones.

Step 7

De-bone, shred and serve it to your child.
