Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. give steam for now .Mild cough and cold may be due to any viral infection or maybe due to only seasonal variation so only steam can be given at home for home remedy and paracetamol for fever

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicineuy which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever isg there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
