Q.

my boy is 2 year 4 month old, He can speak well and clearly everything which he has observed or listened in his own way but he can not communicate properly when I have asked something he repeats my sentence and also he suddenly started stammering and takes a long gap to construct a simple sentence to initiate speech. Is it something to be worried?

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years ftyof age . just make the child comfortagble and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
