Q.

My baby was having a fever of 102f for 2 days, day by day it got reduced now he is ok but cold was there for him.Usually he was very active and smiling but now he s not smiling.what is the reason? Is it due to cold and fever?

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acidr preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. it's really fine ma'am because your child is suffering from fever so definitely there must be some side effect he must be feeling some weakness inside do not worry feed wale and keep an eye on your child that otherwise he is passing the motion and urine frequently within few days he will be back to normal
