POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. It's completely normal for a 5-month-old to not have started rolling yet, especially if they are achieving all other milestones. Babies develop at their own pace, and rolling can happen anytime between 4 to 6 months. Some babies even skip rolling and move straight to sitting or crawling.
To encourage rolling:
Give more tummy time (at least 15-20 minutes daily). Place toys slightly out of reach to encourage movement. Gently help them roll by moving their hips during playtime. Avoid prolonged time in swings, car seats, or bouncers.
If your baby shows no effort to roll by 6-7 months or seems stiff or floppy, consult a pediatrician. Otherwise, be patient—your baby will roll when ready!
