Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold spongingc of the whole body with tap water cane be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

Sir If it has been advised by your doctor then only go ahead with that because medicines can have their own side-effects which are unknown because it would completely depend the kind of side-effect a person or a child is going to have so don’t give any medicine without consulting your paediatrician if you want to go ahead with anything kindly take an advice from your treating doctor before you go for it
