Q.

I am 5 month pregnant, having posterior placenta at lower segment of os. so, doctor suggested 2 months complete bed rest. I am having mild abdominal cramping. plz tell me what means the complete bed rest? and how to manage.

A. if the Placenta is on the internal OS then total bed rest is advised to avoid pressure on Placenta due to baby weight which causes internal bleeding with me lead to severe complications so your doctor has advised for total bed rest to avoid chances of any complications and have regular follow up with your doctor as per the schedule

A. Bed rest can mean literally resting in bed at home, partly restricting your activity, or being monitored in the hospital. If you have been prescribed bed rest, it means that your healthcare provider is concerned about a condition that may prevent you from carrying your baby to full term.
