child's nutrient requirements are high for growth at the same time so food should come from healthy sources. give a healthy home based diet
give whole grains, oats
avoid refined cereals, bread
high fibre and good protein
beans, whole pulses
all seasonal fruits and vegetables,
give low fat milk and Milk products
avoid fruit juices give whole fruit
avoid ghee on top of food
give small frequent about 5 meals to the child and a healthy snack in between.
