Q.

hi....my son,18 months old suffering from mild fever and cold...what amount of paracetmol in mg should be given to him?His weight is around 11kg...

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allerghkic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

A. Hello mom Yes, if you are giving drops to your baby then you can give one ML drops at a time that you can repeat the medicine every 6 to 7 hours gap if baby is not getting relief. Still baby doesn’t get to leave in next 24 hours then you have to consult with your doctor about it.
