A. Chest pain can be a harmless symptom of pregnancy. The cause is often heartburn or pressure as the growing uterus pushes against the organs in the chest cavity. However, chest pain during pregnancy can indicate a more serious condition, such as a heart attack or preeclampsia. These require immediate medical attention.
