Helo Am a breastfeeding mother of 3mnth old baby.taking COVID vaccine is safe for this time or not??? Someone told me that breastfeeding mothers should take vaccine after 6 months only.. plz tell me which is advisable

AswiniMom of a 4 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi dear without any doubt you will took covid vaccine.. This Sunday oly I took the vaccine I'm mother of 3month baby me and my baby is fine now..if u not clear with this ask ur gynecologist..

Hi, My baby is three month old and I had same doubt bt my doctor suggested to take covid vaccine so I took .there was no issue .only for two days I was feeling feverish and little bit low bt can be managed with the help of anyone so only during that time I maintained some distancing with child and used mask and then I started feeding from third day bt some people are feeding right after vaccination also so there is no issue.But if you still have doubt because of any kind of vaccine side-effects then you can discuss with your doctor

Though the government has said it's safe for a breastfeeding mom to get covid vaccine it's better you consult your doctor before getting as your baby is completely on breast milk so if your doctor suggests you can go ahead or wait for a few months and then get vaccinated
