Q.

Hello..my daughter is 3.6 yrs old...she was having mild cold since Tuesday.. today she got fever...it's 100.2...till now i was not giving any medicine.. what should I give now.. calpol or solvin cold..plz help

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.f if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can bfe repeated again after 6 hours if required .

A. hi parent. if she has 100f or more paracetamol drops as too have mentioned can be administered as per her weight and age (with five hours gao( please make sure she's well hydrated whenever she has fever
