Hello Experts, Currently am breastfeeding my 1.5 year old son and planning to take covid-19 vaccine (pfizer bioNtech). can i continue feeding him or better to restrict and start formula? also what is your opinion on conceiving after vaccine jab?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. yes you can take the vaccination and continue breastfeeding.
definitely you can go for vaccination because as per recent recommendations on 19th of May Government of India has also started recommending vaccinations for lactating mothers so yes you can go for it
and you can start giving breastfeeding immediately after the vaccination also

as per new guidelines of government, it is safe for lactating mothers to take covid vaccine.
but if you are planning for second baby then please don't take it
