Q.

Hello doctor ,my 21 years old baby continuously rubs her ears i dont know the reason ,but we showed it to pediatrician but they said ears are clear , and just advised to keep ears clean and dry .so i try my best to keep her ears dry after her bath and i usally toes ger hair also but i dont know wht the prob tht she rubs it very hard and ear becomes red and at time because of that blood also comes from her ears .i noticed a kind of rough patch at times when she regularly rubs it,so i apply oil for her ears .I have been facing this issue with my 21 years daughter from very long back when she was just 3 /4 months old and still she is going through the same.can you suggest some oil or ointment so that i xan apply .

A. I would not recommend you to apply any ointment if the doctor has asked you to keep the area dry and clean I would recommend you to just make sure that the ear is properly clean that's all
