Q.
hello doctor.. I am a single mother of 4year old boy.. I stay in my parents home.. my son is very hyperactive and uncontrollable.. he is no awareness of danger.. he doesn't listen to us.. I sometimes let him watch cartoon throughout the day because I cannot control him.. and I am very embarrassed before my family members because of his behaviour.. and one of my family member suggested to take him to a nearby psychiatrist.. can I take him to a psychiatrist

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. A propervh assessment is required here so regarding this it is more favourable to contact your local doctor and accordingly he will guide in a proper manner.

I think it is better that you consult a child psychologist that is going to be good because they’ll help you understanding the behaviour of the child and sometimes when you see the child child is hyperactive and not listening to you there could be a little bit of understanding for the child so they’ll help you with it also you can consult a good homeopathic doctor and you can start with medication that will help in controlling the hyper activity and will help in stabilising the brain of the child
