Q.

Dear Sir/Madam My baby is 7 days old. He has not received the BCG, Hepatitis B and Polio vaccine during discharge from hospital as he was on antibiotics. Kindly suggest when can I get him vaccinated. Is such delay in vaccination normal as these vaccines should preferably be given within 24 hours of birth. Please suggest.

A. You should not delay the vaccinations for a newborn child I would just suggest you to kindly consult your paediatrician whatever necessary vaccinations are meant to be done there all going to be done with the gap of a month but the doctor would advise you on that accordingly
