many times simple cough and cold is followed by secondary infections.
it is very common that children will will have a recurrent cough and cold as well as fever before 5 years of age and after that a proper immunity is developed and then this problem will go away.
get the child vaccinated for flu vaccine which will again help in decreasing this problem

Also ask u our doctor for supplements like iron calcium and vitamin etc. As these also help in strengthening the body. Good luck and take care
