Q.

#asktheexperts Since beginning our grand parents are doing oil massage for new born baby for the strong bones and mussels of the baby. But why doctors are not recommending oil massage during summers and initial months of new Born.

A. Hi, if the child is low birth weight or having not adequate weight, their skin are very thin n delicate hence its avoided for some times. and in summers, you may do massage once a day with coconut oil..

A. I don’t know why you are doctors not advising you to massage the child but in most of the cases yes I have seen there is a doctor say that you should at least wait for 7 to 10 days after that you can go ahead with it because they’re giving some time to the child skin to at least be normal because you just delivered a child if you suddenly start massaging out of the blue then it can have effect on the skin which is why they say that you should wait for at least a minimum of 7 to 10 days and after that you can go ahead with that I don’t know why your doctor is not advising but in general cases every doctor say that massaging is goodWrite Your Answer Here
