A. After 6 months, along with continued breastfeeding, you can start giving your 7-month-old baby simple, soft, and easily digestible foods. Begin with: Single-grain cereals like rice or moong dal khichdi Fruits like mashed banana, apple puree, or chikoo Vegetables like boiled and mashed carrots, pumpkin, potato, or sweet potato Homemade porridge with rice or suji (semolina) Moong dal water or mashed dal Well-cooked mashed egg yolk (after 7 months, if no allergy signs) Introduce one new food at a time every 3–5 days to watch for any allergies. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, and cow's milk. Keep the texture soft and gradually make it thicker as your baby gets used to solids. Continue giving breast milk regularly, as it remains the main source of nutrition till one year.
