If rashes are lasting this long, you should show your baby to a pediatrician because it may not be a simple diaper rash (it can be fungal or allergic rash). Keep the area clean and completely dry, change diapers frequently, and give diaper-free time daily. Use a thick zinc-oxide based diaper rash cream and avoid applying many different oils or creams together. If there is redness with small red dots around it or it is not improving, doctor may prescribe antifungal cream.
