#asktheexperts My 6 weeks old baby has cold. What can I do to help her?

A. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. try to prevent temperature variations around the child you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and coldd continue the regular diet of the child if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctor for fever and pain give paracetamol. anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be givden only after medical consultation.

A. Warm Mustard Oil Massage Warm a cup of mustard oil with two cloves of garlic and a few kalonji seeds (Nigella sativa). Massage this infused oil onto your baby’s feet, chest, back, and palms. Wipe away the excess oil with a muslin cloth.
