#asktheexperts Government hospitals provide 3 doses of PCV and IPV where as Private hospitals provide 4 doses, which one to follow ? my baby's vaccination are done in government hospitals, till now. 10 weeks vaccination are done, should I take him to private hospital and give PCV and IPV? Is government hospitals providing first 3 doses of PCV and IPV in just 2 doses that is 6th and 14th week. Is it safe ? or should I still go and get it done in Private hospital.

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the scheduletr then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
